Slow down


Days like today when both my baby and I are sick, I know it’s going to be a very long day and night.   The day will consist of consoling my baby and getting as much rest as possible.  Although I love exercising and having that burst of energy afterwards, it’s all about listening to my body right now and taking it easy.  I have to remind myself that it’s ok to slow down. It’s ok to stay in my pj’s, with my hair in a messy bun and have Netflix on the whole day.  As mums, we give so much to our families and don’t allow much time for ourselves.  It’s always go, go, go!

So here is a reminder to all you mamas out there:

Be kind to yourself.
Take care of yourself.
Slow down.


This doesn’t make you less of a mum.  This doesn’t mean you’ve failed as a mum.  You’re rejuvenating and healing yourself so you can be more present for your family! 

On that note, any good Netflix shows to watch?!
